A shifted load should be reworked before it reaches the receiver, because a receiver that opens the doors on leaning pallets usually rejects the whole trailer. WarehouseNow finds a rework facility near your driver within 15 minutes and most restacks are done the same day.
What to do right now
Do not open the doors at the receiver
If the driver felt the load move, or a seal check shows leaning pallets, stop before the delivery appointment. A rejection at the dock costs more than a rework.
Photograph what you can safely see
Open the doors in a safe location with the trailer against a wall or dock, photograph the condition, and close them again.
Call for a rework
Give us the location, pallet count and commodity. Within 15 minutes we confirm a facility with the equipment to restack, re-wrap and re-label.
Re-deliver with proof
The facility photographs the restacked load. You re-book the appointment with evidence the freight is in deliverable condition.
How WarehouseNow helps
Load shift is a rework problem, not a claim, as long as it is caught in time. Our network includes facilities with clamp trucks, pallet inverters and shrink-wrap equipment that can turn around a 26-pallet trailer in a few hours, including nights and weekends. We handle the matching so the driver only has to drive.
