Temperature-controlled storage covers refrigerated (typically 33 to 40°F), frozen (0°F and below) and controlled-ambient product such as produce, dairy, meat, seafood, pharmaceuticals, chemicals and confectionery. On-demand cold storage matters most during a failure: a reefer unit breaks on a Sunday night, a receiver rejects a load for a temperature excursion, or a driver runs out of hours with a load that cannot sit.
