What load rework & restack covers

A load rework is the process of unloading freight that has shifted, leaned, crushed or been rejected, then restacking, re-wrapping and re-labeling it so it can be delivered and accepted. It is the most common reason a carrier or broker calls us, and the one where speed matters most, because every hour the trailer sits is an hour closer to a missed appointment, a detention bill or a full rejection.

Driver pulls in, load goes out

The facility restacks, re-wraps, re-labels and photographs the finished pallets. Most reworks are complete the same day and the driver continues to delivery.

Typical turnaround

Facility match in 15 minutes. Dock time usually within 2 to 4 hours in major metros. A standard 26-pallet restack typically takes 2 to 4 hours of dock time once the driver arrives. Overnight and weekend reworks are routine.

What drives the cost

  • Number of pallets and whether product must be fully unstacked or only straightened
  • Replacement materials: new pallets, corner boards, stretch wrap, slip sheets
  • Product type, including food-grade, hazmat or temperature-controlled handling
  • Time of day, with after-hours and weekend work priced accordingly
  • Whether the facility also needs to hold the freight overnight

How fast can you rework a shifted load?

We confirm a facility within 15 minutes of your call. In most major freight markets the driver can be at the dock within a few hours and back on the road the same day.

Do you handle rejected loads at the consignee?

Yes. If a receiver rejects pallets for leaning, crushed cases or wrap damage, we arrange a nearby rework so the load can be re-delivered, often on the same appointment day.

Can the facility replace broken pallets?

Yes. Partner facilities stock standard GMA pallets, and many carry CHEP or PECO exchange options. Tell us the pallet spec when you request the quote.

Do I need to create an account or sign a contract?

No. WarehouseNow works on a per-job basis with no long-term contract. Brokers and carriers who use us often simply get a faster response because we already know their lanes.

What proof do I get for the claim file?

Facilities photograph the load on arrival and after rework. We forward those images and the facility paperwork so your OS&D or claims team has a clean record.
