WarehouseNow arranges same-day transloading at vetted facilities near U.S. ports, rail ramps and interstate hubs. Freight is moved from containers, rail cars or trailers into outbound equipment with counts, photos and paperwork, and a facility is confirmed within 15 minutes.
What transloading covers
Transloading transfers freight between modes or equipment types: ocean container to 53-foot trailer, flatbed to dry van, or rail to truck. Importers use it to avoid container per-diem and get domestic equipment moving. Carriers use it when a load is overweight for one axle configuration or when a trailer fails. Brokers use it to recover and re-dispatch freight from a stranded carrier. The work needs a facility with the right doors, equipment and staffing, close enough to the freight to make sense.
How it works
Share the equipment and freight
Inbound equipment type and location, outbound type, pallet or piece count, weight and any special handling.
We confirm a facility
Within 15 minutes we match a transload partner with the equipment, space and hours you need, and quote the full job.
Freight moves, documents follow
The facility transloads, palletizes if needed, counts and reloads. You receive photos and a signed BOL for the outbound leg.
Typical turnaround
Facility confirmed in 15 minutes. Container and trailer transloads typically complete within 4 to 8 hours of arrival. Palletizing floor-loaded containers adds time, which we quote up front.
What drives the cost
- Floor-loaded versus palletized freight, since palletizing adds labor and materials
- Weight and piece count
- Equipment such as container chassis, forklifts, clamps or cranes for oversized freight
- Staging time if outbound equipment is not ready
- Port or rail proximity and after-hours gate access
Every quote covers the full job, including materials, after-hours labor and any storage days, so the number you pass to your customer or your claim is the number you pay.
